The Orange Conference

The folks in our Children's Ministry have asked me to go with them to a conference in Atlanta,
GA called "The Orange Conference". http://www.theorangeconference.com/about.php I think we have great leaders in childrens ministry and I want to support them. If you are wondering why it is called "The Orange Conference" click on the URL link to find out. Because I am going to be in Atlanta this week, I am not sure I will be able to post to the blog. Celebrating Statehood in Pawhuska

We are off today to Pawhuska to celebration the Oklahoma 07 Centennial. Centennial_logo This is one of the First celebrations in the state. We lived in Pawhuska and pastored the Methodist Church there back in the 80's. They are having an all day celebration http://www.pawhuskachamber.com/ including the National Indian Taco Championship. Wow. I am not sure what that is going to be like but I will find out and let you know. They have asked me to give the invocation at 7:00 pm at the opening of the evening ceremonies. At 5:00 pm today is the Thundering Hooves Parade. They are having a cattle drive of Longhorn Steers lead the way followed by Osage County Ranch Floats, Antique Cars, Bands, Fire Trucks, etc. It will be fun seeing old friends and celebrating Oklahoma statehood. I don't usually schedule events on Saturday night because of preparations for Sunday. This will make for a challenging weekend. Keep us in your prayers.
